Designing for interactive TV

From 2008 to 2009, I worked on projects on interactive TV. Both from the viewpoint of consultants creating a future vision of TV, as well as designing how an interactive system should behave. We tackled issues such as designing for the large screen, thinking in terms of a shared family device and how to take advantage of on-demand and internet-based systems of delivery.

During this time, and especially at the beginning, I scoured the internet for past work and best practices of interaction design on the TV. Here is a annotated list of my best finds:

It’s not much, but it wasn’t easy to find information on the subject. As the article below states, the product-to-market dynamics of the interactive TV industry stifle fair competition and as a consequence, good design:
